SIMPLE RUBBER CATHETER
A Simple Rubber Catheter is a soft, flexible tube made of rubber or latex used to drain urine from the urinary bladder. It is inserted through the urethra when a patient cannot pass urine normally due to illness, surgery, or urinary retention. It is commonly used in hospitals for temporary bladder drainage and urine sample collection.
Description
The catheter is made of soft rubber with a rounded tip for easy insertion. It has small openings called eye holes near the tip that allow urine to flow through the tube. The other end has a funnel-shaped opening to connect with a urine container or bag.
Simple rubber catheters come in different sizes (measured in French units) and are mainly used for short-term catheterization.
