SIMS’ DOUBLE BLADED POSTERIOR VAGINAL SPECULUM
Sims’ Double-Bladed Posterior Vaginal Speculum is a gynecological instrument used to examine the vagina and cervix. It is commonly used during vaginal examinations and minor gynecological procedures to retract the posterior vaginal wall and provide a clear view of the cervix.
Description
This instrument is made of stainless steel and has two curved blades of different sizes attached to a handle. The blades help retract the posterior wall of the vagina while the anterior wall is usually held with another instrument.
It is widely used in gynecological examinations, Pap smear collection, and minor vaginal procedures in hospitals and clinics.
